A technique known as Sgraffito is what gives these pumpkin orange earrings their great texture.
These earrings were created with pure copper sheet and vitreous enamel (finely ground glass powder) then fired in a kiln at 1450 degrees to fuse the glass to the metal. After multiple firings they were ground and sanded smooth and polished.
Each piece is a reflection of my passion for metalworking as I form, solder, file, saw, fuse, hammer, and polish every piece of jewelry by hand in my Vermont studio.
