Silver Keeps Climbing — Here’s How I’m Adapting (and Giving You More Options)
Share
So… here’s the thing.
Silver continues its steady climb, and as of this week it’s sitting at $91.27 per ounce, before fabrication charges for sheet and wire are added in. Those fabrication premiums are the reality of working with quality materials, but they do mean the true cost of silver is quite a bit higher than the spot price alone.
Rather than quietly raising prices across the board, I wanted to approach this thoughtfully—and in a way that gives you more choice and control.
Pendants: With or Without a Chain
Going forward, many pendants will be available with or without a chain. If you already have a favorite chain at home, this lets you skip paying for another one. If you’d like it ready to wear, you can still choose a chain that fits your style.
Simple, flexible, and hopefully helpful.
Earrings: Choose Your Ear Wires
I’m also offering more options when it comes to ear wires. You’ll be able to choose what works best for you:
-
Hypoallergenic niobium (included)
-
Sterling silver (additional charge)
-
14k gold filled (additional charge)
This way, you’re not paying for a metal you don’t need—and you can tailor each piece to your comfort, preferences, or sensitivities.
Why This Matters
Silver is still my material of choice. There’s nothing quite like it—its longevity, its glow, the way it wears beautifully over time. It’s meant to be worn for years, not replaced. But as costs rise, transparency matters, and flexibility helps keep handmade work accessible.
These changes are about adapting responsibly while continuing to create pieces that are thoughtfully made, wearable, and true to my work.
As always, thank you for being here and for supporting handmade jewelry. Your support allows me to keep working slowly, intentionally, and with materials chosen for their quality—not shortcuts.
