A Tiny Bee… and a Test Run
Share
Sometimes you just need to experiment at the bench to see if an idea will actually work. Case in point: this tiny bee. He’s just 10mm from wingtip to wingtip—small enough that I wasn’t sure I’d even be able to solder him onto anything without melting him.
Before committing him to my new wildflower earrings and necklaces, I decided to do a test run. I pulled out a scrap flower from my bits-and-pieces stash and gave it a try. The result? Success! He soldered beautifully, and I’m excited to start working him into some finished pieces.
This particular one won’t go up for sale—the back isn’t smooth (again, this was a test and not meant to be a finished piece)—but I thought you might enjoy a little behind-the-scenes look at the process.
More tiny bees to come! 🐝🌸
