What is a patina, and how is it used?
Share
A patina is a darkening or coloring of metal that happens over time—or on purpose! In my case, it’s intentional. I use a chemical process (totally safe!) to give sterling silver and copper a beautiful, aged look.
✨ Why add patina?
Because it brings out the depth and detail in each piece. Textures pop, patterns stand out, and the whole design gets a little more soul.

🔨 It’s kind of like antique furniture or weathered wood—there’s beauty in the contrast between light and dark, shiny and matte. Patina gives my work that earthy, timeworn vibe that fits right in with my nature-inspired style.
So if you've ever wondered why some silver (or copper) looks dark and moody instead of bright and shiny—that’s patina doing its magic. And around here, we love a little character. 🖤
